OCM began in the mid-80s as a specialty South Bay general contracting firm. We gained a reputation for taking on small to mid-sized tenant improvement (TI) projects that other management firms either would not attempt or, in some cases, could not fulfill. The projects almost always involved specialized and non-common expertise including hazardous material abatement, seismic rehab, OSHPD-compliant certification and other difficult-to-deliver capabilities.

After many years of successful project completion we recognized a need for commercial and residential property owners for someone to represent them in working with contractors.
 
Our knowledge of hi-requirement/hi-capability management allows us to apply clarity and wisdom to our client’s requirements. In many cases we are the determining factor in decision making at the feasibility, design, and start-up stages pursuant to profitability and fulfillment. At other times our role is simply to provide sage counsel on vital questions such as “Should we proceed?”

It is this vision, experience, and knowledge—combined with a unique ability to see project fulfillment (from our client’s perspective)—that allows OCM to provide a new level of cost containment options, on an as-needed basis, for your construction management.
