When home owners begin to consider an upgrade or remodel project they typically pursue 3 options in looking for construction services:

1. Research contractors, e.g., search online, Craig's list, the yellow pages, etc.
2. Get a referral from someone
3. Get advice from a neighbor or friend

Meeting with unfamiliar or referred contractors can work but these methods sometimes have risks associated with them because of the unknown factors (e.g. communication difficulties, reliability, sub-contracting issues, etc.). Additionally, contractors inevitably need to conduct business based on their best interest, not necessarily the interest of the home owner. Referrals are good but it may be difficult to know what the best value is best solely on a referral. And while getting advice from a friend or neighbor usually provides the highest degree of comfort level for the consumer, there is always the question of "neighborly" availability, expertise, and the
risk of a bruised relationship from asking others to do too much or sacrifice their time.

We provide a beneficial alternative to the above options. We represent the consumer in selecting and directing contractors. We also act as your retained expert providing basic guidance to complete management of a project with the objective being the owner's interest vs the contractor's interest.

Example:

A common scenario would be a home owner looking to remodel their kitchen or add a room addition. We meet with the client, provide options and cost estimates, select contractors, negotiate fees, acquire permits (if needed), and oversee the project to completion. We protect the client against overcharges while advising them of areas where they can save money and where it may be wise to spend a bit more for a higher ROI.

• Project Management - Oversee permit process, supervise construction, monitor pay applications, conduct Owner/Architect/ Construction meetings, oversee change-order process, monitor schedules and budget.
• Design / Build - We can assemble a design team that can support your project goals. The team: seasoned Architects, Structural Engineers, Mechanical / Electrical /Plumbing designers. Permits for complete drawings often obtained with minimum review time.
